Yes, we are accepting new patients.

What ages do you treat?

We treat all ages, including infants.

What do you specialize in?

Dr. Lindsey’s practice is focused around Applied Kinesiology (AK), the use of muscle testing as a diagnostic method. This approach integrates methods from all of the healing arts into a unified whole and allows them to be blended together in a way that best suits the individual’s need for care.
We use a wide variety of gentle chiropractic techniques, including Activator, Brimhall, Thompson, Diversified, and others.

Do you accept walk-ins?

New Patients need to have an appointment scheduled, as it usually takes approximately 45 minutes for registration paperwork, new patient exam, and treatment.
Established Patients are encouraged to schedule an appointment, however we do our best to accommodate walk-ins for those in urgent need of treatment.

How much do your services cost?

Our reduced cash rate prices (when insurance is not billed or involved) are currently:
    * New patient visit (chiropractic exam & treatment) = $130.00
    * Chiropractic treatments after first visit = $60.00 each

If you have insurance that we'll be billing, the amount billed to them will vary depending on our contract with your particular insurance company and how they process our claim. If you'd like an estimate of what we expect your cost to be please contact our office. Thank you.

Do you accept insurance?

YES, we accept many different insurances (but not all), however our network status within each insurance company may vary.

We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance company to verify whether Jonathan Lindsey, DC is currently in-network on your specific plan.

Ask your insurance company representative to explain your chiropractic benefits, including exams, spinal manipulations, extremity adjustments, and chiropractic modalities/therapies.  Some insurance plans split our billing among different benefit levels with separate deductibles and copays, so it's helpful to know ahead of time what your particular financial responsibility will be.

We are happy to give you an estimate of what we expect your insurance will pay based on our past experience with billing your particular plan, but please keep in mind that it is only an estimate. Insurance networks, plans, and contracts are frequently changing, so you will get the most accurate information on what approximate cost to expect if you contact your insurance company directly to verify your benefits.

Does Medicaid pay for chiropractic Services?

Partly.  Idaho Medicaid covers part of the cost of 6 spinal manipulations per calendar year, however they do not cover the cost of chiropractic exams, extremity adjustments, or modalities. Our patients with Idaho Medicaid insurance pay $92.00 at their new patient visit (to cover chiropractic exam and treatment), and then $22.00 per visit thereafter.  Once their annual benefit limit of 6 visits per year is met, their financial responsibility is $60.00 per visit (our cash patient rate) through the end of the year.

We cannot accept Oregon Medicaid / OHP / EOCCO.

Does Medicare pay for chiropractic services?

Partly.  Medicare benefits for chiropractic services are quite different from those for primary medical care, with very limited coverage of services.  Medicare Part B insurance plan only allows for manual manipulation of the spine. They do not pay for chiropractic exams, modalities, extremity adjustments, or other therapies that are an integral and necessary part of the holistic treatment provided at our office.

For more details, including your estimated patient cost for chiropractic exams and holistic chiropractic treatments, please contact our office.

Can I request that I only receive services covered by my insurance ?

No. The comprehensive chiropractic care we provide does not allow for exclusion of services not covered by insurance.   Our doctors provide holistic chiropractic care, treating the body as a whole rather than treating only the parts that are allowed by insurance companies and plans.

Taking a holistic approach helps you see the bigger picture of managing your body by better understanding how your physical body interacts with the three facets of health:  Structural, Chemical (nutritional), and Autosuggestion (stress and emotion).

When are chiropractic exams required?

Our doctors are required to do a chiropractic exam prior to adjusting either 1) a new patient that has not been treated in our office before, or 2) an established patient that has not been treated in our office within the past 2 years.

This type of exam is required due to liability issues (meeting the chiropractic industry standard), as our doctors need to have a clear picture of your medical history and current issues before they do a chiropractic adjustment.

We are not able to accept a copy of medical records from another chiropractor or physician en lieu of having a chiropractic exam done in our office.

What should I expect at my first visit?

You can expect your first visit to take approximately 45 minutes. This allows for new patient paperwork and registration, followed by a chiropractic exam and treatment.

We do not perform x-rays or any other imaging at our office. If the doctor feels that an x-ray is necessary then he will fill out an order for you to take to the imaging facility of your choice to have that done.

What do I need to bring to my new patient visit?

Great question!  Here's what we recommend:
    *   If you'd like us to send claims to your insurance company(ies) please bring your insurance card(s).
    *  A list of prescription medicines and nutritional supplements you are currently taking.
    *  Be prepared to complete a short medical history, which includes a description and approximate date of any major falls, head injuries, broken bones, dislocations, surgeries, and hospitalizations.

Do you do x-rays at your office?

We do not perform x-rays or any other imaging at our office. If the doctor feels that an x-ray is necessary then he will fill out an order for you to take to the imaging facility of your choice to have that done (St. Alphonsus, St. Lukes, or Imaging Center of Idaho).

Do you have a massage therapist in your office?

No, we do not. One of the modalities used at our office is a Migun Bed, which some of our patients refer to as the "massage bed". For more information on the Migun please click on this link.

Do you offer acupuncture at your office?

No, we do not.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express; including most major debit cards, FSA, and HSA cards.

We are not currently accepting Care Credit or other specialty payment methods.

There is a $25 administrative fee (each) for all returned checks.

What are your terms and conditions?

Payment of your estimated financial responsibility is due at the time of service.  If you are unable to pay at the time of service due to personal circumstances, please speak with Dr. Lindsey regarding arrangements to pay at a later time.

We do our best to estimate patient cost for treatments at the time of service, and then we submit claims to your insurance for services received.

Please keep in mind that health and accident insurance policies are an arrangement between you and your insurance company. You are responsible for charges for services received whether or not they are covered or paid by your insurance.

All payments are due at the time of service, unless other payment arrangements have been made.
